3 Things You Will Need When Your Family Shares An Enclosed Shower

by Sara Cook

Living in a home or apartment with just one bathroom can be difficult, but it is even more difficult when your entire family shares the bathroom's enclosed shower. You will need a few items to make the sharing easier. Here are three items you may benefit from when your family is all sharing the same enclosed shower.

1. Car Windshield Rain Repellent

You may have used this product on your vehicle's windshield to clean and make its surface more water-resistant. When it rains after you have used this product, the water runs right off your windshield as the product works by repelling the water off its surface. On an untreated windshield the water beads up, requiring you to use your vehicle's wipers much more.

This water-proofing spray is ideal to use on your shower's glass doors. When water droplets do not remain to dry on the shower's glass, they don't leave behind soap scum and hard water stains.

Just spray it around on the inside of your glass shower doors, then wipe it off with a dry rag or towel, just as you would when cleaning the glass. Then, your glass shower doors will repel water and keep off soap scum and hard water marks for several weeks, even months.

This is definitely something that a family with a busy shower will benefit from. You won't have to clean the shower doors every few days to keep them sparkling clean.

2. Plastic Shower-sized Basin

If you have younger children who take baths instead of showers, an enclosed shower is not going to be a useful place for them. Buy a plastic basin approximately one to two feet high that fits inside the base of the shower enclosure. It will make the perfect place for your small children to bathe.

When you have finished bathing your young children, simply rinse out the plastic basin and store it in a closet or hang it on the wall of your bathroom until next time.

3. Handheld Shower Head

There are some bathrooms out there that still have a regular shower head attached inside the shower because not everyone has upgraded to this convenient feature. If your shower does not have one, it is easy to install a handheld shower head.

This type of removable shower head is perfect for filling up your child's bathing basin in the enclosed shower. Then, you can use it to spray your child off to finish their bath. In fact, your entire family can use and benefit from the several feet of hose that comes with the handheld shower head.

A handheld shower head is also great for cleaning your shower. When the windshield rain repellent has stopped working after a couple of months, it will be time to clean your shower and reapply the rain repellent.

Spray on your cleaning agent to clean your door, clean the door, then use the shower head to rinse it off. Because a handheld shower head has several feet of hose, you can spray it in any area of the shower.

With these three items your family-shared enclosed shower can be a much user-friendly place. To learn more, contact a company like Affordable Custom Enclosures with any questions or concerns you have.
